I AM VEGAN AND A LOT OF PRODUCTS HAVE HIDDEN ANIMAL PRODUCTS, DOES THIS?

All of Rain City Olives products are guaranteed vegan. The ingredients are very simple and are in the name; so there are no animal products. In addition, all the products are missing many of the other common allergens. Take a look at the nutrition labels to see if they are right for you.

I AM ALLERGIC TO A LOT OF STUFF, WILL I BE ABLE TO HAVE THIS?
The nice thing about the Rain City Olives products is that the ingredient list is simple, but are also all natural. All the products are missing the most common allergens such as gluten, nuts, and dairy to name a few. So whether it will work for your allergy or not is more related to whether you are allergic to the flavor. Since all the products are natural and made with real ingredients if the label says Persian lime and you are allergic to lime you will be allergic to this oil. Take a look at the nutrition pages for all of the products to see all that the products contain and/or are missing.

I AM NOT A FAN OF VINEGAR AND/OR OLIVES, I AM SURE THAT I WON’T LIKE THIS!
I wouldn’t be so sure. Some customers have been dead set on the fact that they don’t like olives or vinegar, but in the end, they walk away with a beautiful pairing. The Rain City Olives products aren’t too overpowering, but are instead made to complement a meal not over take it.

WHERE ARE YOUR RAIN CITY PRODUCTS FROM?

EVOO is a Tunisian and Spanish blend

Fused and infused oils are from Spain and mixed in USA

Balsamics are from Italy

WHY IS YOUR NAME RAIN CITY OLIVES IF YOU DON'T SELL OLIVES?

The name Rain City Olives was designed to leave room for growth and expansion. At the moment it is a young business, but in the future the plan is to expand and have a wider variety of products available.

HOW SHOULD I STORE MY RAIN CITY OLIVES PRODUCTS?

BALSAMIC VINEGAR:

Heat and light are an enemies of balsamic vinegar as well so cool and dark places are ideal. Balsamic vinegar does not need to be refrigerated however if you prefer them chilled for your salads they can be. If you mostly use them for reductions, sauces, marinades etc. they are perfectly fine in the cupboard. Balsamic vinegar has a longer shelf life than olive oil of 3-5 years if kept out of heat and light.

OLIVE OIL:

Olive oil should be stored in a cool, dark place such as a controlled pantry. Light and heat are two of the primary enemies of olive oil. Packaging in dark glass is also important to shield olive oil from UV rays and light. It does not need to be stored in the refrigerator.

Refrigerated olive oil will become cloudy and solidify, making it difficult to use. Returning it to room temperature restores its fluidity and color.

HOW LONG WILL MY PRODUCTS LAST?

All products that Rain City Olives sells has a 12 month BBD (Best Before Date) from the time of purchase, but can last anywhere from 18-24 months. Balsamic vinegar has a longer shelf life of about 24-36 months. It is best if the oils are consumed under the 12 month recommendation time as olive oil is not like wine and does not get better over time, eventually breaking down.

TUSCAN HERB...WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

Tuscan Herb is a mix of Basil, Marjoram, Garlic, Rosemary, Thyme, Oregano, and crushed red pepper flakes. Rain City Olives Fused Tuscan Herb Olive oil has a strong sense of rosemary with a just enough kick from the pepper and garlic to keep your meals exciting.

AM I ABLE TO COOK WITH OLIVE OIL ?

Am I able to cook with this olive oil?

Yes you are able to cook with all of the products, however, take a look at the smoke points listed to establish what product will yeild the best result for your meal.

IS OIL A GOOD REPLACEMENT FOR BUTTER?

Absolutely! Not only is olive oil healthier for you, it will also add flavor to your cooking. Take a look at the conversion sheet for use with your next gourmet creation:

Use this simple chart to convert butter quantities to olive oil quantities:

1 teaspoon Butter = ¾ teaspoons of EVOO

2 teaspoons Butter = 1 ½ teaspoons of EVOO

1 tablespoon Butter = 2 1/4 teaspoons of EVOO

2 tablespoons Butter = 1 ½ tablespoons of EVOO

¼ cup Butter = 3 tablespoons of EVOO

½ cup Butter = ¼ cup + 2 tbsp of EVOO

1 cup Butter = 3/4 cup of EVOO
